Four plaintiffs made a formal complaint against him in Bahan in December claiming he cheated them out of more then Ks2.5 billion.

According to police records, one of the plaintiffs, Tun Naing Oo, said Kyaw Myint, and his associates Bo Bo Oo and Thuza, cheated him into selling a plot in Bahan for Ks390 million.

The other plaintiffs claim to have encountered similar problems with Kyaw Myint.

Thein Win said: "We learnt that they sold a land plot by dividing it into small parts. The plaintiffs said Kyaw Myint and his companions told them that they would give them the ownership of the land which they sold to plaintiffs. According to our investigation, the ownership name is not his name or those on the documents for the plot at branch no.4 of the Myanma Economic Bank."

Kyaw Myint is also facing fraud charges in Latha and Botataung township courts.
