The next six-party talks will be held soon once all participants settle on the convenient date, said presidential spokesman and Information Minister Ye Htut.
"The commander-in-chief is now on a trip to Serbia. The day will be negotiated when he comes back. I’m not sure when he will come back," the minister told reporters last week.
Myanmar’s first six-party talks in April were called by Parliament and reached an agreement to continue discussing amendments to the 2008 Constitution and further political dialogue between the country’s political leaders is due again soon, said Upper House MP Aye Maung, who took part as the ethnic representative in the talks.
President Thein Sein, the two parliamentary Speakers, the commander-in-chief, opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi and Aye Maung took part in the talks.
